John Neal Insulation Award – message to Professors and Students

This year the EEIM recognises two winners with its annual award instead of only one. We honor outstanding work in the field of solid and liquid electrical insulation materials and systems. The award is open to students who submit original work in this field covering design, testing, application andenvironmental strategies of electrical machines, systems and apparatus. We are awarding one prize valued 2.000 EUR for work performed towards the PhD, and one prize valued at 2.000 EUR for work at the Bachelor and Master levels, or their equivalent. We hope in this way to attract more submissions from students doing good work outside of doctoral studies.

To compete, each student should submit a synopsis clearly stating the objectives and results of their study. The synopsis is preferred as an electronic document in A4 format, should not exceed four pages, and is to be accompanied by a single-page curriculum vitae of the applicant. Our Award Committee will review all submissions and select the most outstanding work for the prizes. It is our pleasure to present the prizes in person at  the EEIM annual general meeting (AGM) in Berlin, where winners have the chance to present their work and meet potential employers among our membership. Please note the following dates:

Submission:          The submission deadline is  April 8, 2019

Announcement:   Notification of the winners follows by  April 30, 2019

Presentation:        The EEIM AGM is held on May 20, 2019
